Analysis of Surface Deformation and Physical and Mechanical Parameters of Soils on Selected Skid Trails in the Gorce National Park

Skidding is considered to be one of the most stressful works for forest environment. This paper presented results obtained from analysis soil deformation and selected physical mechanical parameters soils on skid trails in Gorce National Park. The study analyzed two horse tractor that are continuous use park. Measurements were recorded before (summer) after (autumn) a total 81 skidding cycles, using profilometer penetrometer, samples collected analysis. measurements indicated compactness was considerably higher lower sections side more loaded by traffic transported load, which related trail course field. values penetration resistance high middle those trails, reaching 6.8 MPa layer up 10 cm. In reached 7.62 cm deep similar across width into profile, with only slight changes observed monitored period. As result skidding, there increases maximum depth ruts 4.6% 10.8% trails.
